Percy Is On Its Way to Mars!

Perseverance had an almost perfect lift off, a successful first and second burn and is now leaving orbit and on its way to Mars. Perseverance will be collecting rock samples for another flight to pick up, flying a helicopter type drone in the Mars atmosphere and looking for signs of life both ancient and recent (at least in Mars years). It is scheduled to land Feb. 18 of 2021 in an ancient lake and delta. Exciting times for NASA and its partners and for the country. America needed the boost from Perfect Percy in the mist of one of our most difficult years in generations. Take pride in our unparalleled ingenuity. America does it again. We persevere. Go Percy Go! Next challenge Space X Endeavor splashdown/return Aug. 2. Stay tuned.
